Advocacy Dashboard Report

(Advocacy Reports)

View a sample of this report.

The Advocacy Dashboard Report provides executive level management information for your alerts. You can use this report to provide summary information for all alerts. You can also use the report to provide summary information for individual alerts, for active alerts, or for alerts associated with a specific Issue.

You may find it useful to add various configurations of this report to your My Reports folder.

Using the Advocacy Dashboard Report

Use the Advocacy Dashboard Report to show:

  • Summary information for all Alerts for all dates
  • Summary information for all Alerts for a specific period of time
  • Summary information for a specific Alert for all dates
  • Summary information for a specific Alert for a specific period of time
  • Summary information for all active Alerts
  • Summary information for all Alerts associated with a specific Issue
  • The Total Number of Constituents taking action on one or more alerts
  • The Number of New Constituents added during one or more alerts
  • The Number of Email Messages, Faxes, and Printed letters sent and the Number of Calls Logged for one or more alerts

Running the Advocacy Dashboard Report

Run the Advocacy Dashboard Report as follows:

  1. On the Convio Administration navigation bar, select Reports from the Data Management menu. The Report Selection screen displays.
  2. Click the plus sign (+) beside the Advocacy Reports folder to display the folder contents.
  3. Click the link for the Advocacy Dashboard report. The Configure Report Options screen displays.
  4. Select the alert(s) on which to base the report. Your choices include:
    • All alerts
    • All currently active alerts
    • A specific alert (choose the specific alert from the drop-down menu)
    • Alerts associated with a specific Issue (choose the Issue from the drop-down menu)
  5. Select a Report Date Range. Your choices include:
    • Predefined Date Range (such as All Dates, This Calendar Year, This Fiscal Year, etc.)
    • Custom Date Range (choose exact dates from the date menus provided)
  6. Click Submit Report to open the Report Results screen and view the report.
  7. To add this report -- with this configuration -- to your My Reports folder, click the Add to My Reports link, edit the Title as needed, provide a brief Description, and click Save.
  8. To run another report with a different configuration, click the Report Configuration link. The Configure Report Options screen re-displays.

Tip: You might want to add several different configurations of this report to your My Reports folder for quick access in the future. For example, you might add versions that provide monthly statistics on each of your active alerts and another version that reports on all alerts for all dates.

View the Results of the Advocacy Dashboard Report:

Note: The fields on each report will vary slightly depending on the options you have chosen.

FIELD

DESCRIPTION

Report Date

Date that the report was run.

Alert

The alert(s) on which the report is based: all, currently active, or a specific alert (by name). Does not display for a report based on an Issue.

Issue

Name of the Issue, for a report based on a specified Issue.

Date Range

Dates covered by the report.

Type of Alert

One-Step or Two-Step (Action Alerts only)

Alert Targets

For a report based on a specific alert, indicates the Targets of the alert, such as Senators, Chairman of Corporation X, etc.

Number of Constituents Taking Action

Number of constituents who took action on the alert(s) covered by the report.

Number of New Constituents

Number of new constituents who were added to your database as a result of the alert(s) covered by the report.

Number of Emails Sent

Number of emails sent by those who took action on the included alerts(s).

Number of Faxes Sent

Number of faxes sent by those who took action on the included alert(s).

Number of Printouts

Number of letters printed and presumed to have been sent for the included alert(s) if you enabled constituents to print letters for sending by regular post.

Number of Calls Logged

Number of calls logged by those who took action on any Call Alerts included in the report.
