Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published Report

View a Sample of this Report

The Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published Report lists StoryBuilder articles that have been approved (marked with the Approved Approve Icon) icon and are ready to be published (marked with the Publish icon Approve Icon).

From the onscreen report, you can click the Article Title link to access the article by its Headline in the StoryBuilder Article List page (in the Content application) and then publish the article, or view, copy, edit, or archive the page if you have the appropriate security permissions.

You can also click the Edit Action to display the article in the Article Editor page directly where you can work with it, or click the View Action to preview the article in a user interface window.

 

Using the Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published Report

Use the Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published report to show the:

u       Article Titles of the approved StoryBuilder articles waiting to be published

u       Security Category of each approved StoryBuilder article

u       Date when each approved StoryBuilder article will be published and available online

u       Date when the system will place each approved StoryBuilder in the catalog of outdated material (which removes the article from view but still allows it to display during searches)

 

Running Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published Report

To run the Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published Report:

1.       From the navigation bar, click Data Management and then click Reports from the drop-down list displayed. The system displays the Reports page.

2.       Click the plus (+) sign next to the Content Management Reports folder. The system displays the available reports.

3.       Click the Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published Report report. The system displays the Report Results page with Queued as the Status of the report.

4.       Click Refresh this page and wait until the system changes the Status to Completed. (You may need to click this more than one time.)

5.       When the Status changes to Completed, click:

u       View to display the report on your computer.

u       Print to display the report in a printer-friendly format.

u       Download to save the report to a file that you can download to your local computer or shared network resource.

u       Delete to remove the report from the Report List if you no longer need it.

 

Viewing the Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published Report

The Approved News Stories Waiting to be Published report displays in the Report Viewer with the report label across the top and the Report Date timestamp immediately below it.

You can click the:

u       First, Previous, Next, and Last links to move between multiple pages if this is a long report.

u       Add to My Reports link as a way for you to run this report again directly from the My Reports section on your Administrator Home Page. To save the shortcut link, click the My Reports link to display a pop-up page, enter any new title or description information about this report, and then click the Save button to close the pop-up and create the link. When you click the report shortcut link on your Administrator Home Page, the system will display the Report Results list page directly (without displaying the Report Selection or Configuration page) and you can view, print, or download the report using the actions in the Report Results list.

u       Print Icon (Print) icon to display the report in a printer-friendly format. This icon displays on both the top and bottom of the report.

u       Download Icon (Save) icon to download this report to your local computer or a shared network resource and save it as a comma separated value (CSV) file. This icon displays on both the top and bottom of the report.

REPORT COLUMN

DESCRIPTION/CONTENT

Article Title

Headline supplied for the article when it was created.

Click the link to access the article by its Headline on the StoryBuilder Article List page (in the Content application) where you can approve or reject it, as well as, publish, view, copy, edit, or archive the article if you have the appropriate security permissions .

Action

Edit link that you can click to display the article in the Article Editor page.

View link that you can click to preview the article in a user window.

Category

Security category that defines who can access the article.

Publication Dates

Dates during which the article will be available online. That is, the first date on which the article will be published and the last date it can be accessed before it will be cataloged (which removes it from view, but still enables it to be returned during searches).
