Email Message Details Report

The Email Message Details Report provides information about the delivery and responses to email messages you have sent through the Email Classic application.

 

Using the Email Message Details Report

Use the Email Message Details to show, for the message, the:

u       Creation information (Name, Description, Sender, Date Created, Date Sent, and Content Type)

u       Groups it was targeted at

u       Number of targeted recipients

u       Number of targeted recipients who were skipped due to known bad email addresses or opt-outs

u       Number of messages that the system sent out after the skipped recipients were deducted

u       Number of messages that were not received by their intended recipients and if the reason was a hard bounce (or, bad email address) or a soft bounce (temporary system problem such as a full mailbox or mail service interruption)

u       Number of message that were actually sent (pushed minus bounced)

u       Number of recipients who unsubscribed

u       Number of links that recipients clicked and the names of the click-through links

u       Number of messages that recipients opened

u       URL of the clickable links as well as the number of times each was clicked and forwarded

 

Running the Email Message Details

To run the Email Message Details:

1.       From the navigation bar of an Administrator page, click Email and then click Email Classic from the drop-down list displayed.

2.       From the Message List, locate the message and click the Report BarChart_Icon icon next to it. The system displays the report onscreen.

 

Viewing the Message Details Report

The Message Details Report displays in a page that shows the:

u       Name that was entered when the email message was created

u       Description that was entered when the email message was created

u       Sender name that was entered when the email message was created

u       Date Created timestamp with date and time

u       Date Sent timestamp with date and time

u       Content Type, which is one of the following:

·         HTML and Text

·         HTML

·         Text

u       Groups sent to names, which are linked to the Group Information page in the Groups application (under the Constituent360 tab)

u       Message Delivery Statistics, which list the:

·         Targeted number of unique recipients from the groups that were selected for sending

·         Skipped number of targeted constituents who have previously unsubscribed or have a known bad (hard-bounced) email addresses

·         Pushed number of emails that were sent out (Targeted minus Skipped)

·         Failed (Soft Bounces) emails that the intended recipient may not have received due to a temporary condition (such as receipient’s mailbox is full, recipient’s ISP is unable to accept email at this time, and so on)

·         Failed (Hard Bounces) emails that the intended recipient will not receive due to a bad (or, invalid) email address

·         Net Sent number of pushed emails that were not skipped or that have not yet failed plus a pie chart that shows this number

u       Message Response Statistics, which list the:

·         New Unsubscribes that counts each recipient that unsubscribes from email

·         Click-Throughs that count the number of times that recipients click on the links in the email

·         Unique Click-Throughs that count the first time a recipient clicks on each link in the email

·         Forwarded Click-Throughs that count the number of times recipients who clicked links also forwarded the email to another email address

·         Messages Opened that count the number of times recipients opened the email

·         Unique Message Opened that count the first time each recipient opened the email

·         Additional Opens that count all subsequent times recipients opened the email after the first time

·         Bar Chart of the above information

u       Click-Through Analysis for Individual Links in the Email table that shows, for each link:

·         Link URL, or web address

·         Number of Click-Throughs made by recipients

·         Number of Forwarded Click-Throughs made by recipients
