Inserting a YouTube Video
You can insert one or more YouTube Videos in a web page using the YouTube
component. YouTube videos are not secure; do not add them to secure pages.
This section covers the following topics:
Adding a YouTube
Video to a Page
YouTube videos are embedded using the YouTube Component in the Luminate
Online Content Editor.
To add a YouTube component to a page:
- Open the web page in the Pagebuilder Content Editor.
- Place the cursor where you would like to insert the video.
- Click on the Components drop-down menu and select
Extensions > YouTube Video. The Embedded Component Selector
for YouTube Video displays.
- Enter a Keyword, Author, or both to search for a video.
Note: Searches using multiple criteria will return fewer videos. A search using both a Keyword and an Author will only return videos
whose metadata includes the keyword and whose author is an exact match. For example, entering "Michael Jordan" returns videos of "Michael Jordan" (rather than of "Michael" or "Jordan").
- Click on the Search YouTube button.
- Drag the video onto the
Drop Videos Here box. To select a different video, drag it
over the existing one.
- Click on the Search YouTube button.
- Click More Options if necessary and configure the following:
- Select the AutoPlay Video option if you want the video to begin playing automatically when the page loads. Do not
select this option if you are inserting multiple videos on a page.
- Clear the Hide Related Videos
option if you want related videos to display once the video has stopped playing.
- Enter new Height and Width dimensions if you wish.
YouTube only supports certain video sizes.
- Click Insert to place the video on your page.

Editing a YouTube Component
Once a YouTube Video component is inserted, it cannot be changed. To change the way a video is embedded, you must remove the existing component and insert a new one.

Changing the Windows Mode for a Video
The Windows Mode (Wmode) is a setting necessary when embedding a video that dictates how the video component behaves in relation to other components on the page. Possible settings include:
- Opaque (default) - Other
components that open up, like a drop-down menu, will appear over the video.
- Window - The video plays in its own rectangular window on a Web page. Other components that open up, like drop-down menus, will disappear behind the video.
- Transparent - The web page background shows through all transparent portions of the video.
To change the WMode:
- In the Luminate Content Editor, click Use the Plain Text Editor to view the source HTML.
- Replace the last parameter on the S365 Tag,
opaque, with either window or
transparent. For more information on the S365 Tag, see the
Luminate Online S-Tag Reference Guide.

YOUTUBE ENABLED option
