Changing the Event Status

The event status determines when participants can register for events, when donors can make online donations to the event, and when the event is closed to both actions by displaying the appropriate links or button on the Greeting page for the TeamRaiser event.

To change the event status:

  1. On the Event Center page, click Edit Event Options from the tasks along the left. The Edit Event Information page displays.
  2. Click Edit Event Status. The Event Status page displays.
  3. Click: (Note that on some sites, the links mentioned below display as buttons.)
    • Accepting Registrations Only to display, on the Greeting page, the links to join or form a team and participate as an individual without displaying the search for a participant or team link. This may be useful to give participants a chance to get set up (like customizing their personal web fundraising page) so that donors can find and support them with an oline donation.
    • Accepting Registrations and Gifts to display all of the links for joining/forming a team, participating as an individual, searching for a participant or team to support, and making a donation directly to the event.
    • Accepting Gifts Only to remove the link and pubic view of the online registration form after the actual participant event has occured so that no one else can register online, but donors can continue to support participants and teams.
    • Closed to remove the link and public view of the online donation form (as well as the online registration form) when the event is ready to wrap up. You can continue to enter registrations and gifts on behalf of participants and teams while the event is closed.
  4. Click Finish. The Event Options page displays.
