Making a Personal Page Private or Public

If you have the appropriate permissions, you can change the Personal Page of a participant to be Private, which means that the participant will not display in search results when people search for participants and only those people who know the actual web address of the page can view it.

You can also change a Personal Page that was marked Private to be Public, which means that the participant will display in search results so people can access their page.

The status of the Personal Page (Public or Private) is listed on the Summary page for each participant.

To mark a Personal Page as Private or Public:

Note: If you are on the Members roster on the Team page, skip directly to Step 4.

  1. Click Customer Service from the top navigation bar. The Customer Service splash page displays.
  2. In the Process Navigator, click Manage Participants. The Participants list page displays.
  3. If the participant is not in view in the list displayed:
    1. Click the Search link. The Search page displays.
    2. Enter the information in the fields and click the Finish button. The Participants list displays with matching search results.
  4. Click View Summary from the Actions column of the appropriate participant. The Summary page displays with registration details and the Gift History list.
  5. In the summary details, if the Personal Page status is listed as:
    • Public, click Make Private from the Related Actions area and click the Finish button on the confirmation page that displays. The status of the Personal Page changes to Private.
    • Private, click Make Public from the Related Actions area and click the Finish button on the confirmation page that displays. The status of the Personal Page changes to Public.
