Setting Your Personal Page as Private Viewing Only or Available in General Searches

By default, Personal Pages are Public and available for display after people register for the TeamRaiser. This means that the link to your Personal Page is returned in the search results when it matches the criteria in searches performed to locate participants in this TeamRaiser and can be displayed by clicking the search result link.

In most cases, you can change this setting on your Personal Page to Private to keep the link to it from displaying in the public search results and your page can only be accessed by people who know the Web address (or, URL) to your page. Setting your page to Private can be helpful when you are working on your page content or want someone else to view it before having it publicly available. Note that anyone who knows the Web address (or, URL) to your page can display the page by typing in the address to it.

You can also change the setting back to Public when you are ready to have it available to public searchers.

Note: If you keep the page Private, you may want to personalize the Web address to your page so you can easily direct people to it.

Step 1. Display Your Personal Page Work Area

After accessing your Participant Center Home page, click either:

  • Personal Page from the options along the top of the page.
  • Or, Work with Personal Page from the navigation links on the right side of the page.

Step 2. Display the Edit Options

Click Edit.

Step 3. Change the Setting

Click:

  • Private to make your Personal Page unavailable in search results where it matches the search criteria.
  • Public to make it available again.

Step 4: Save Your Changes

Click Save. The Edit fields close as the The privacy setting has been successfully updated message and This page is Private display.

Note: You can copy the URL and paste it into an email.
