Submitting Your Story

On the final Confirmation Page, you can preview your story and make changes, if needed, before submitting the story for publication. After you submit your story, we reserve the right to make editorial changes, if necessary. We will send you an email message when your story has been approved and published.

To submit your story:

Step 1. Preview Your Story:

Look over the preview of your story on the Confirmation page to be sure you are satisfied with the content and photo you have entered. Note that the:

u       Title displays along the top of your story as a headline. If you need to change it (for example, to correct spelling, add words, or remove words), click the Previous Step button on this page and then click it again on the Upload Photo Page. After making your changes, click the Next Step button on this page and then again on the next page to display the Confirmation Page again.

u       Date of publication displays on the line after the title.

u       Author name (your name) displays as the byline after the date of publication.

u       Photograph or artwork displays below your author byline. If you need to change your photograph or artwork, click the Previous Step button on this page. Click the Browse button, locate and Open the new file, and then click the Upload Different Photo button. When the system has replaced the original file with the new one, click the Next Step button on this page to display the Confirmation Page again.

u       Short summary, displays as a subheading immediately before the story contents. If you need to change it (for example, to correct spelling, add words, or remove words), click the Previous Step button on this page and then click it again on the Upload Photo Page. After making your changes, click the Next Step button on this page and then again on the next page to display the Confirmation Page again.

Finally, read through your story again. If you need to make corrections or additions to the words, click the Previous Step button on this page and then click it again on the Upload Photo Page. After making your changes, click the Next Step button on this page and then again on the next page to display the Confirmation Page again.

Step 2. Click the Submit button to send your story to us.

The Verification Page will display and remind you that we reserve the right to make editorial changes, if necessary.

Step 3. Review the Verification page and click Done.

We will send you an email when your story has been approved and published.
