Updating the Email Preferences Information in Your Account

From your account pages, you can update your email address and your preferred email format. You can also indicate your particular email interests and whether you want to continue receiving email from our organization.

Step 1. Log into Your Account

  1. From a link on a page or in an email, display the Login page.
  2. Enter your User Name and enter your Password.
  3. Click Login.

Step 2. Open Your Account Profile Page

From the navigation items on the page, click My Account.

Step 3. Access Your Email Preferences Page

If you see an Email Preferences link at the top of your Account page, click the Email Preferences link. One of two possible layouts will display.

  • If your page is divided into two sections: Email Interests and Email Preferences
    1. Place checkmarks in the Email Interest checkboxes of your choice.
    2. Check (or uncheck) the box indicating that you would like to receive email.
    3. Select a Preferred Email Format from the drop-down list (HTML or Plain Text).
    4. Click Save.
  • If your page contains a single heading: Email Preferences
    1. Click Change your email preferences to:
      • Add or Remove yourself from the email list
      • Change your Email Address
      • Change your Preferred Email Format (HTML or Plain Text)
    2. Click Save Email Preferences. You will return to your main Email Preferences page.
    3. Examine your list of subscribed Email Interests. If you would like to make changes:
      1. Click Select the topics you are interested in.
      2. Check or uncheck boxes to indicate your interests.
      3. Click Save Email Subscriptions. You will return to your main Email Preferences page.

If you do NOT see an Email Preferences link at the top of your Account page:

  1. Click the Special Interests link at the top of your Account page.
  2. Place a check in the boxes beside any Email Interests for which you would like to receive email (and uncheck any topics that you no longer wish to receive).
  3. If you see a separate section of Website Interests, check or uncheck those topics if you would like to make changes.
  4. Click Save.
  5. To change your Email Address, add or remove yourself from the site mailing list, or change your Preferred Email Format:
    1. Click the Personal Profile link at the top of your Account page. Your Profile information will display.
    2. Click Edit Your Profile.
    3. In the Email section of the editing page, change your email address, check or uncheck the box to receive email, and modify your Preferred Format, as desired.
    4. Save your changes.
