Working with the Status Indicators that Display on Your Personal Page

Typically, your Personal Page displays two status indicators: the Participant Status fundraising thermometer that shows the amount of money you have raised toward your goal and the Largest Gifts list that shows the names of the top 20 donors who donated on your behalf and the amount of the donation (except for those donors who have specified not to be named nor to show the amount they donated).

If the Choose button displays under the indicators when you open the page for editing, you can:

Removing a Status Indicator

If the Choose button displays under the indicators when you open the page for editing, you can remove one or both status indicators to keep them from displaying on your Personal Page.

Step 1: Display Your Personal Page

Click Personal Page from the top of the Participant Center page.

Note: If you are not on the Participant Center page, log in to the site, click the link that displays the fundraising event, and then click the Participant Center link.

Step 2: Open the Personal Page for Editing

Click the Click here to open this page for editing link. The editable sections display.

Step 3: Remove the First Status Indicator

Click the drop-down list below the status indicator and click None.

Step 3: Remove the Second Status Indicator

  1. Click the pull-down menu below the status indicator and click None.
  2. Click the Go to Preview Mode button. The system closes the Edit Page window and displays your Personal Page as it looks with the replaced photo.

Step 4: Save Your Status Indicator Changes

Click the Save my changes button. The system displays the Page saved successfully message across the top of the page but leaves the page open for editing.

Note: If the organization requires that changes to your Personal Page be approved before it is published, you will receive an email that tells you when the page has been approved and your changes are published.

Changing the Status Indicator Style

By default, Personal Pages display the:

  • Participant Status fundraising thermometer that shows how much money you have raised and how close the amount is to your goal
  • Largest Gifts honor roll list that scrolls through the names of the top 20 largest donors who have supported you and shows the amount they gave

If the Choose button displays under the indicators when you open the page for editing, you can:

  • Change these to the:
  • Team Status fundraising thermometer that shows how much money the team on which you are participating has raised together and how close the amount is to the team goal
  • Donor Names Only honor roll list that scrolls through the names of the top 20 largest donors who have supported you (not the amounts they gave)
  • Swap the positions of the status indicators by changing their styles.

Step 1: Open the Personal Page for Editing

  1. Click Personal Page from the top navigation area of the Participant Center homepage.
  2. Note: If you are not on the Participant Center homepage, log in to the site, click the link that displays the fundraising event, and then click the Participant Center link.

  3. Click the Click here to open this page for editing link.

Step 2: Change the First Status Indicator

Click the Style pull-down menu below the status indicator and click:

  • Participant Status to display the fundraising thermometer that shows how much money you have raised and how close the amount is to your goal
  • Largest Gifts to display the honor roll list that scrolls through the names of the top 20 largest donors who have supported you and shows the amount they gave
  • Donor Names Only to display the honor roll list that scrolls through the names of the top 20 largest donors who have supported you (not the amounts they gave)
  • Team Status to display the fundraising thermometer that shows how much money the team on which you are participating has raised together and how close the amount is to the team goal

Step 3: Preview Your New Indicator

Click the Go to Preview Mode button. The system closes the Edit Page and displays your Personal Page so you can be sure your change is correct.

Step 4: Change the Next Status Indicator

Repeat Steps 2 and 3.

Step 5: Save Your Status Indicator Changes

Click the Save my changes button. The system displays the Page saved successfully message across the top of the page but leaves the page open for editing.

Note: If the organization requires that changes to your Personal Page be approved before it is published, you will receive an email that tells you when the page has been approved and your changes are published.

Changing the Labels of the Status Indicators

The Participant Status indicator displays with the participant’s name as the label above the thermometer, and the Team Status indicator displays with the team name as the label above the thermometer. The Largest Gifts and Donor Names Only indicators display with Fundraising Honor Roll above the scrolling list.

If the Choose button displays under the indicators when you open the page for editing, you can change these labels .

Step 1: Open the Personal Page for Editing

  1. Click Personal Page from the top navigation area of the Participant Center homepage.
  2. Note: If you are not on the Participant Center homepage, log in to the site, click the link that displays the fundraising event, and then click the Participant Center link.

  3. Click the Click here to open this page for editing link.

Step 2: Enter a Title for the First Status Indicator

Click into the Title field and enter a phrase (for example, Look Who is Supporting Me for the Largest Gifts or Donor Names Only indicators, or See How Much I Have Raised for the Participant Status indicator.

Step 3: Preview Your New Indicator Label

Click the Go to Preview Mode button. The system closes the Edit Page and displays your Personal Page so you can be sure your label displays correctly.

Step 4: Change the Next Status Indicator Label

Repeat Steps 2 and 3.

Step 5: Save Your Label Changes

Click the Save my changes button. The system displays the Page saved successfully message across the top of the page but leaves the page open for editing.
