Making a Teammate a Co-Captain of Your Team

If the co-captains are allowed for your event, the Promote link displays on the Team Roster (available on the Team Progress page). You can click this link to promote the teammate to co-captain status to share captain responsibilities with you.

Note that co-captains are typically limited to a specific number (for example, 2 or 3) per team. When the maximum number of co-captains is reached, the Promote link no longer displays.

Step 1: Display the Team Progress Page

After accessing your Participant Center, click the Team Progress icon or link from the top of the page.

Tip: If you are not on the Participant Center page, log in to the site, click the link that displays the Greeting page of this fundraising event and then click the Participant Center link.

Step 2: Locate the Team Roster

Scroll down until the Team Roster section displays.

Step 3: Click the Promote Link

Click the Promote link for the teammate you want to make the co-captain. The (Member) status that displays under the name of the promoted person changes to (Captain).

Note: If the Promote links do not display, you cannot make anyone else the co-captain because the maximum number of co-captains allowed has been reached.
