Working with a Story on Your Personal Page

You can write a story about why you are participating in this fundraising event. A compelling story attracts and engages more people to support you.

On some sites, you can enter only plain text (that is, no formatting or HTML tags are accepted). These sites have 3 different blocks in which to break up your story. Using eye-catching or appealing headlines for each section may encourage readers to read through the entire story. You can also use the headlines to guide your readers through the story.

On other sites, the Rich Text Editor is available for entering your story in one block. This editor has tools for formatting and aligning the text. You can change the font and colors as well as add bullets to important points or center your section titles.

Tip: You can compose your story in a text editor (such as Notepad) and then copy and paste it onto your page.
